You won’t leave again just to spite me He said so politely, in his misery With hand over fist, life ain’t easy But when you fish in the dead sea There’s no mystery Usually I’d fall apart, but now I’m going to stay with my heart It only knows what’s real There’s no mystery So pour out the best of your illusion ‘Cause even when you’re losing, It ain’t news to me With traveler’s cheques cashing secrets And when you’re at your weakest There’s no mystery Usually I'd fall apart but now, I'm going to stay with my heart, stay with my heart It only knows what's real There's no mystery Far too fantastic to ever be shared It’s always the lookout who gives it away It’s not that I want you to leave unprepared, But you can’t have the last word with nothing, Nothing to say
2.
I picture myself in places I’ve never been to before Sunlight on my face Shady sidewalks or a hill with a view, Rising over the haze Agatha I was just waiting for you, in the town Where no one waves Over and over the pendulum swings, as It’s making the rounds in space Sooner or later the tidewater breaks, and you’re Washing up in its wake, in its wake I’m lifting myself from pages I’ve never read through before Resigned to my fate Lazy Susan let me spin it for you, let me Run through your gate Over and over the pendulum swings, as It’s making the rounds in space Sooner or later the tidewater breaks, and you’re Washing up in its wake, in its wake In space In its wake

Motionless 05:15
How did we get here? Can’t even stop for just one moment, To take it all in How do we leave here? Each passing second leaves the present, No way to begin It’s hard to believe it’s already here The right way ‘round can be found, Circling the planet at its speed, you’re standing still When the wheels hit the ground The turbulence, wind resistance Strings were broken from the sound (of) Standing still, you’re standing still Where are we off to, And when we get there will we publish the freedom we found? Then when we’ve left here, What will we show for the commotion of living unbound? It’s hard to believe it’s already here The right way ‘round can be found, Circling the planet at its speed, you’re standing still When the wheels hit the ground The turbulence, wind resistance Strings were broken from the sound (of) Standing still, you’re standing still Please just put on that dress that you only wear on Sunday

“I was restless as could be, I could not stand it,” Said the woman with the sunlight in her eyes “Iron shackles on your feet, pale blue yonder within reach, You just plead for life” Trailing ripples in your wake, how Distant memories will fade out All day I wish I was sleeping in my bed But each night dreams take me someplace else instead And if the sky is falling through, tell me I built my house out of bricks, now why won’t you? Why won’t you? Trailing ripples in your wake, how Distant memories will fade out Distant memories will fade out Trailing ripples in your wake, Only sailing ships will face the waves down Distant memories will fade out
5.
Rooms ready, help wanted Rooms ready, help wanted There’s a vacancy in my home, Since my woman left me here all alone Rooms ready, help wanted Rooms ready, help wanted, Now accepting new walk-ins Sorry we’re open, come in we’re closed The seal’s been broken by her, And her alone Rooms ready, help wanted We buy and sell what’s been gently used, but Nothing prepared me for this kind of abuse Rooms ready, help wanted Now accepting new walk-ins Broken hearts can’t redeem, sell or trade ’Til somebody glues them back into place Rooms ready, help wanted

Whirlwind 00:52
(Instrumental)
7.
You say that Monday’s child is full of woe That it didn’t take much to crush my tin can soul And if you’re leaving town, let me know (oh my soul) And if you’re leaving now.. Because it’s only a way to pretend That you don’t care how the story ends Can’t stop my world from turning on The moment you wait for is already gone I can feel it coming back now, I can feel it coming back And if today meant the end of all things Then you won’t care what tomorrow brings Can’t stop my world from turning on The moment you wait for is already gone
8.
You go up, my skin burns Shadows lean from the space that I turn I’d rather sleep in the sun You go down, icy blue Hide ’til the moonlight gets chased by the dew I’d rather sleep in the sun I’d rather sleep in the sun, Hide ’til the morning comes, You roll my bones away In darkened caves beneath the sea, In tidal waves over coral reefs I’d rather sleep in the sun On snowcapped mountains with funny peaks, The avalanches cave in on me I’d rather sleep in the sun I’d rather sleep in the sun, Hide ’til the morning comes, You roll my bones away
9.
Small Favor 02:30
Smoke in my eyes does a funny thing as she walks by Don’t you love her too fast, it won’t help you cherish That full-bodied flavor Let’s not get carried away this time, I only wanted to get my feet wet But now it’s gone too far So now, my long-lost friend Looks like we’ve run aground, on That same rocky shore again, but See your face grow so pale, just when you thought We had the tiger by the tail So I ask this small favor
10.
You take these chains off of me, darling When you wake up so far away, Do you miss me? ‘Cause you’re my sugar-snap pea and my guardian So trapeze right along with me With your pictures and parlor games, you’re Shaking me up like a star on the screen Then you disappear Out of town for a week, body’s aching From the moment you came to stay, sudden heatwave I tried to give you relief from these burdens of fate Still you push me, why do you push me away? But it don’t matter anyhow, cause There ain’t no more room in my world for you now Then you reappear Oh, August is finally here, And there’s life in the atmosphere Take a minute to grin and Let all the visions appear Let all the visions appear Let all the visions appear
